Monitor Veeam Backup server
Adding a Veeam Backup & Replication server to Veeam ONE enables you to collect data from your backup infrastructure. This means you can monitor your Veeam Backup & Replication servers, as well as Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365. For Veeam Backup & Replication, two types of server can be added:
- Veeam Backup & Replication for monitoring stand-alone backup servers
- Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager for supervision of all servers added to Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager.
Add Veeam Backup & Replication
From the Veeam ONE Client, click on Veeam Backup & Replication then on Add Backup Server.
Type the DNS name or IP address of the Veeam Backup server (VBR or Enterprise Manager) and check the desired server.
Select the user account to be used by veeam ONE to connect at VBR server.
On the Summary, click on Finish. Once added, the first alerts in the event of misconfiguration, backup problems, etc., are displayed.
VBR Repositories
The VBR components is monitored. From the Veeam ONE console, expand the server and select Backup Repositories. All informations about the repositories appear.
We can see the Alarms for all repositories.
If the repositories is selected, we can have more information about this repositories (repositories, region, bucket, etc.).
Information about Monthly summary, Alarms and Protected Data is displayed.
VBR proxy
The Veeam Backup proxy is monitored. We can found on Veeam ONE, all Veeam Proxy. A lot of information is displayed to monitor the proxies.
For each proxy, the configuration is displayed in the console. We can also verify if there is any alarms. The performance of each proxy is present in the console.
Alarms on the server
When the Veeam Backup & Replication server is selectionned, we can see all alarms for the server. We can see on my server the alarm : Backup server & compliance state. The detail is given for understand the problem.
The action menu permit to edit alarm, exclude anything, resolve, etc…
